Privacy Policy

1. Information We Process

GoFly-A-Kite stores flight logs, saved kites, and most preferences on your device. We do not require a name, email address, password, or profile registration to use the app. We use Firebase Analytics for app-interaction diagnostics and RevenueCat to process App Store purchases.

2. Location and Weather Services

When you choose a location or use the app’s location feature, GoFly-A-Kite uses location only while the app is in use to provide local weather, maps, and nearby potential kite-flying areas. Location is sent to Apple Weather and other weather, map, air-quality, and geocoding services to return the requested results. We do not request background location or keep a movement history.

3. Smart Alerts

If you enable Smart Alerts, we create an anonymous Firebase record containing your push token, selected alert locations, kite settings, and alert schedule so we can send the alerts you request. This record is not a profile containing your name or contact details. It is used only to operate Smart Alerts.

4. Photos and Purchases

Photos you capture for kite-height measurement or save to your library remain on your device unless you choose to share them. Voluntary tips and other purchases are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat; we do not receive or store your payment card number.

5. Your Choices, Retention, and Deletion

You can turn off location and notification permissions in your device settings at any time. You can disable Smart Alerts or choose “Delete Cloud Alert Data” in the app’s Settings to permanently remove the anonymous Firebase record, push token, and Smart Alert preferences. Local flight logs and saved kites remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app.
